Hi, I’m Lila!

I am a New York City-based photographer passionate about capturing stories that connect people, places, and communities. Most recently, I completed an internship with The Charlotte Observer as their Visuals Intern. I am also a proud graduate of the University of Michigan, where I majored in the Program in the Environment with a concentration in Environmental Storytelling. My background combines photojournalism with an understanding of environmental and social issues, providing me with a unique lens for documenting communities and the world around us.

From my early days experimenting with film portraiture and nature photography to leading a team as Managing Photo Editor at The Michigan Daily and working at a legacy newspaper such as The Charlotte Observer, I’ve explored a wide range of subjects, including concerts, sports, and environmental photo essays. Regardless of the subject, my goal is always to tell honest and compelling stories that resonate with my audience.

I’m excited to take on new projects and collaborations– whether that’s photojournalistic work, editorial work, or creative commissions. Feel free to reach out through my contact form, email, or phone, and follow along on my social media for more of my work.
